The following projects were awarded grants
in July 2009
No. 2449 – A grant of €9000 was approved to build a cistern
to provide potable water at the Ecole Notre Dame de Lourdes School,
Jérémie, Haiti. 680 girls attend the school.
No. 2466 -The sum of €8,000 was awarded for the provision of
furniture and equipment for an Adult Development Centre at Casilla,
Ecuador.
No. 2468 - €6,500 was approved for the development of a pre
school play area at the Izimvozethu project site in Cape Town, South
Africa.
No. 2469 - African Communities Empowerment, Mbarra, Uganda was
awarded the sum of €9,000 for a project to Empower Young Women
through Professional Training.
No. 2470 - A grant of €6,500 was awarded to St. Joseph’s Junior
College, Mariapuram, Andhra Pradesh, India towards the provision
of furniture for the study hall.
No.2474 - €8,000 was awarded to the St Damiano Medical Centre,
Bungoma Town, Kenya for the acquisition of an operating table and
other theatre instruments.
No. 2475 - Graceland Primary School, Ndola, Zambia was awarded
the sum of €5,500 for the upgrading of teaching resources.
