Promotional
Campaign:

Pictured is Joe Maher and George
Hartnett of the Management Committee promoting the Fund to a
prospective member at the recent Annual Delegate Conference of the
Civil, Public & Services Union in Galway.

The Fund accepted a kind invitation
from the Public Services Executive Union to have a promotional stand
at their 2010 Annual Delegate Conference. Pictured is Tom Kelly from
the Management Committee explaining the workings of the Fund to a
Conference Delegate.
This year the Fund is celebrating it’s thirtieth anniversary
and since it’s foundation it has spent in excess of €7mn of
contributors money on development projects and emergency aid grants
in various developing countries throughout the world.
We have continued to promote the Fund over the years, and in this
regard we would like to acknowledge the great assistance that has
been given to us by the Civil Service Departments, An Post,
eircom, other State Agencies and the Trade Unions in our various
endeavours to encourage further staff and pensioners to become
contributors.
While we fully acknowledge the serious effects that the current
recession is having on very many staff and while we are deeply
grateful for the contributions which we have received to date,
nevertheless the needs of the developing world are still great and
in many cases beyond our wildest comprehension.
The fund receives many more appeals for help than it can assist.
It therefore urgently needs your help to continue it’s very
important work.
If you would like to assist the Fund in any way, e.g.
distribution of information in relation to the Fund in your local
office, we would be delighted to hear from you. |
