Water Project - Tanzania
The Fund late in 2011 granted a sum of
€5,000 for the much needed sinking of a borehole and the installation of
a water pump at Charambe Secondary School, Temeke, Dar-es-Salaam,
Tanzania which will also be available to the local community.
The project was subsequently successfully
completed and a report provided to the Fund. The school Board, teachers,
students, parents and the community tendered their grateful appreciation
to the Fund for it's generous assistance. The school now has plenty of
safe water for various uses like cleanliness, drinking and the
improvement of the school environment. In addition, and very
importantly, the students no longer have to waste very valuable study
time fetching water as previously. |
