Health Centre Medical Equipment - Mbale, Uganda
At their meeting in January 2015 a grant
of €7,300 was approved by the Management Committee for a project
involving the purchase of much needed medical equipment for the Health
Centre.
The various equipments have since been
acquired and installed, enabling the Centre to achieve better patient
outcomes and satisfy and meet the needs of the community in which it
operates. It has helped to fill gaps identified that were impeding
progress of the Centre and which resulted in the provision of inadequate
delivery of medical services both curative and preventative.

As a result of the grant provided by the
Fund, the Centre is now able to treat fifty patients both day and night
and conduct outreach services at village level. The previous
catastrophic health situation prevailing in Kamutur Village and
surrounds is rapidly changing due to the interventions of the Centre
coupled with community health education. A healthy community of women
and children is emerging with more babies seeing their first birthday
and eventually continuing to grow. |
