The following projects were awarded grants
in May 2015
No. 2945: A grant of
€6,800 for borehole drilling and construction of pump installation
at Bukedea, Uganda.
No. 2950; The Committee
approved the sum of €4,300 for the purchase of chairs and
wheelchairs for disabled persons at the Wisdom Training Centre, Bisheshe,
Uganda.
No. 2953; The sum of
€6,400 was approved towards the purchase of an X Ray machine at
Kitovu, Hospital, Masaka, Uganda.
No. 2956; The sum of
€7,000 was approved for a borehole for Olifants River Parish Creche,
Limpopo, South Africa.
No. 2959: The purchase of
school furniture and electric water coolers for St Anthony’ s Girls High
School, Antoniabad, Pakistan was approved for the sum of
€6,000.
No. 2960; An amount of
€7,000 was approved for the construction of a school canteen for
street children, Dar-es-salaam, Tanzania for the Holy Union
Sisters.
No. 2961; The sum of
€7,000 was approved for the purchase of water tanks and pit latrines
for St Elizabeth Primary School, Masaka, Uganda.
No. 2962; The Committee
approved the sum of €6,000 for the construction of a kitchen at
St Mary’s Immaculate Villa Maria Girl’s Primary School, Masaka,
Uganda.
No. 2967; The sum of
€5,000 was allocated to the Irish Nepalese Educational Trust for
immediate repairs to schools and the relief of some homeless families
affected by the recent earthquakes in Nepal.
