The following projects were awarded grants
in September 2014
No.2898: The sum of
€5,900 was approved for a school water collection tank at Ndejje Day
and Boarding School Primary School, Kampala, Uganda
No.2904: An amount of €4,200 was approved for the provision of
fish stock for Mesopotamia Notre Dame Rural Development Association,
Fish hatchery project, Kasese District, Uganda.
No.2905: €6,000 was approved for Opit Agro – Forestry Youth
Group, Gulu, Uganda for the purchase of farm tools, equipment,
seeds, transport and training.
No.2906: The sum of €3,500 was awarded for the poultry aspects of
the project from AWARE, Faisalabad, Pakistan for a Sustainable
Livelihood Programme for poor rural women.
No.2907: A grant of €6,000 was awarded to CAMARA for the
installation of computer equipment and training at two disadvantaged
schools at Benisshangul – Gumuz, Ethiopia.
No.2908: A sum of €7,200 was approved for the provision of pit
latrines at Mwapona Community School, Choma, Zambia
No.2909: The Committee approved the sum of €4,000 for the roofing
of a new school building for Comboni Fathers, Mpoko Bac, Bangui,
Central African Republic
No.2910: A grant of €7,800 was approved for the provision of well
ventilated latrines for Nyalugwe Primary School, Konzalendo, Malawi.
No.2911: The Committee approved the sum of €5,600 for a Bee
Keeping project for Farmers in Likpe Bala, Ghana submitted by
Active Centre for Rural Development.
No.2913: A sum of €7,000 was approved for the purchase of
lockers, tables and beds for St Francis School of Nursing, Nairobi,
Kenya.
No.2915: €2,500 was approved for a project to improve
communications and networking for the Medical Missionaries of Mary
dispensary at Hanang, Tanzania.
No.2926: The Committee approved the sum of €2,000 for medical
supplies and other items for distribution to disease affected families
in Sierra Leone.
