The following projects were awarded grants in January 2009

No. 2402 - A grant of €6,000 was approved for the construction of Latrines and a Skills Training project in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

No. 2421 - €6,000 was approved for the purchase of furniture and play material for the Sisters of Charity school at Port Harcourt, Nigeria.

No. 2422 - €10,000 was awarded to the Sisters of RNDM( Notre Dame des Missions) for a Mother and Child Health and Nutrition Programme in Ndondol, Senegal.

No. 2423 - A Rainwater Harvester Project in Nigeria was approved for a grant of €9,000.

No. 2425 - A grant of €8,000 was awarded to the St. John of God Brothers for the training of three Counsellors specifically to contribute to the national capacity in Malawi for mitigating the effects of HIV/Aids.

No. 2427 - The sum of €9,000 was agreed for the purchase of educational materials for a school in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania.

No. 2428 - A grant of €5,500 was approved for the establishment of a Pre- Primary school at Rwinyana Parish, Kagera, Tanzania.

No. 2429 - Kiyata Family Alliance, Nansana Alliance, Uganda, was awarded €5,000 for the economic empowerment of Women with HIV/AIDS.

No. 2430 - €10,000 was awarded for a Literacy Programme at Ngwenya, Livingstone, Zambia

No. 2431 - A grant of €6,000 was awarded for a Rain Water Harvesting Project at Mbeya, Tanzania.

No.2433 - The sum of €5,000 was approved towards the cost of constructing four classrooms at Kombolcha, Ethiopia.

No. 2434 The High School Bus project at St. Francis School, Kunkiyang, Mariama, Gambia was awarded €10,000.
